Forest Reciprocity Group (FRG) will present on revitalizing our forests to revitalize communities. FRG seeks to collaborate with tribes, landowners; county, state, and federal organizations and agencies to unburden forestlands of overcapacity fire fuel load small diameter poles. This burden can become our solution. When we tend our forests for regenerative health, we are reciprocated with an abundance of valuable raw material that can provide economic incentives to revitalize local economies. Small diameter poles are the most logical and progressive materials solution for architectural components of beautiful and fire-safe affordable housing. Other useful products that can be made from forest thinning are furniture, biochar, energy generation via wood gasification units, fencing, storage and garden sheds. FRG is an initiative of Cloud Forest Institute. More information on the initiative can be found at www.forestreciprocity.org
FRG is an initiative of Cloud Forest Institute with funding from the Just and Resilient Future Fund of the Another World is Possible Coalition and the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment.
